Harold Cook died from wounds on 16th August, 1917, after having been sent to a base hospital on the coast, but as yet there is no information as to when and where he was wounded. The 12th East Surrey battalion was part of 122 Brigade, 41st Division, that had been involved in the Third Battle of Ypres in July and August of 1917. |
